Does AKSTOOL sell my personal data?

No, never. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third party. Our business relies on contextual advertising and premium subscriptions — not data monetization.

Does QR Scanner AI send my scans to the internet?

No. All scanning is performed on-device. Scan contents never leave your phone. Only anonymous crash reports (no scan data) may be transmitted if the app crashes.

How do I delete my KittyConnect AI account?

Open KittyConnect AI → Settings → Account → Delete Account. All data is permanently deleted within 48 hours. Or email privacy@akstool.com.

Does UK Weather track my precise location?

UK Weather uses approximate location (city-level) only. This is never stored — used only for the immediate weather API request.

How long do you retain data?

Crash reports: 90 days. Support emails: 12 months. Analytics: 24 months aggregated. Uploaded PDFs: deleted within 60 seconds.

Are you GDPR compliant?

Yes. We are registered with the ICO (UK Information Commissioner's Office). Lawful basis: legitimate interest for crash reporting, consent for optional analytics.

Can I opt out of analytics?

Yes. Click "Reject Non-Essential" on the cookie banner, or update via the Privacy Settings link in the footer at any time.

What happens if there is a data breach?

Do you use AI to process my data?

AI features process data locally where possible. When cloud processing is required, data is in isolated ephemeral instances and deleted immediately after completion.

Is my PDF content read by humans?

No. Files are processed by automated systems only. No human accesses your file contents. Files are permanently deleted within 60 seconds.

Do you transfer data outside the UK?

Some third-party services like Firebase operate in the US. Transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the ICO.

Unlike many technology companies, we have built our entire architecture around the principle of data minimization. We only ever collect what is strictly necessary to deliver the service, retain it for the shortest possible period, and give you full control over what you share. We do not sell data, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not share personal information with third parties except where technically required (for example, crash reporting).
